Spicy Honey Salmon BitesUpdated 16 days ago

I love salmon, it’s tender and flaky and goes so well with a bowl rice and steamed broccoli. I can’t get enough of these honey salmon bites. The thing I love the most about this recipe is that it produces a delicious dish in just a few simple steps.
INGREDIENTS:
- FOR THE SALMON:
- 2 units salmon fillet, skin removed
- 2 tsp corn starch (or tapioca flour)
- 4 tbsp cold water
- For garnish: Toasted sesame seeds
- For garnish: Fresh chives
- FOR THE MARINADE:
- 4 tbsp honey
- 4 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 6 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tsp ginger paste
- 1 unit garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp sesame oil
RECIPE:
- Cut the salmon into bite-size cubes.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the marinade ingredients and then add the salmon
- Let it marinade for at least 1/2 hour.
- Air fry the salmon bites at 400F for 5-6 minutes, until slightly crisp
- While the salmon is cookin, transfer the remaining marinade to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Dissolve the starch in the cold water and add it to the marinade
- Simmer for few minutes, making sure to whisk continually until the sauce has tickened.
- Remove the salmon from the air fryer and glaze it with the sauce
- Drizzle the salom bites with chili flakes, chives and sesame seeds.
